A song from the Deep Blue here.

Specially trawled out of the sea for Valentines day. A deep sea recording with aquatic vocals by senor Elephant Fish. Indeed our fish here does sound like he has the bends or maybe he's just missing company to swim with, either way this tune could well be from a submerged island close to Atlantis.

Carolina Chocolate Drops is having it on the Kazoo - at WDVX's Blue Plate Special

Carolina Chocolate Drops' live cover version of "Hit 'Em Up Style" is nothing short of incredible. From the moment the song begins, the energy is electric, and it's impossible not to be swept up in the excitement. The band's performance is truly captivating, with vocalist Rhiannon Giddens delivering a powerful and soulful performance that is both braw, raw and refined. The addition of the violin brings a unique texture to the song, adding to the overall vibe and making it grassroot, raw and to the bone. What's truly remarkable is how they make the song their own, infusing it with their unique southern style and flippy energy. While the original version of the song is catchy and upbeat, the Carolina Chocolate Drops take it to a whole new elevated level, this performance is something special. Overall, Carolina Chocolate Drops' live cover version of "Hit 'Em Up Style" WDVX's Blue Plate Special is a must-see for anyone who appreciates gre

Bob Dylan the DJ does electronica

Great to see so many people upset with Bob Dylan and his recent DJ sets. Even better to see that Bob is playing electronica! According to this article posted today in the Guardian bob played "an electronica set composed of atonal drones, hyperactive drumbeats".    http://www.theonion.com/article/rock-fans-outraged-as-bob-dylan-goes-electronica-17699 Those who apparently came to see the  "authentic Dylan", the one with the Stratocaster guitar and signature wild blues-rock band where somehow short changed? They didnt see him, mmh! My argument would be, we are talking about Bob Dylan, being courageous, how many decades has Bob been doing this?  Isnt he known for his transformation? Didnt Bob Dylan make leaps with electronic instrumentation? Isnt Bob Dylan a man of progress? I´d say, those who were upset might want to think about progress while asking the question of how many roads must a man walk down? Respect to Bob,

How Fortunate the Man With None (Remastered) - Dead Can Dance

You saw sagacious Solomon You know what came of him To him, complexities seemed plain He cursed the hour that gave birth to him And saw that everything was vain How great and wise was Solomon The world, however, did not wait But soon observed what followed on It's wisdom that had brought him to this state How fortunate the man with none You saw courageous Caesar next You know what he became They deified him in his life Then had him murdered just the same And as they raised the fatal knife How loud he cried "you too my son!" The world, however, did not wait But soon observed what followed on It's courage that had brought him to that state How fortunate the man with none You heard of honest Socrates The man who never lied They weren't so grateful as you'd think Instead the rulers fixed to have him tried And handed him the poisoned drink How honest was the people's noble son The world, however, did not wait But soon observed what fo
